What if my child must take medication while at school?
If your child needs to take medication during school hours and requires assistance from DLDSSCSI, parents must present the office with a written statement from the physician detailing the method, amount, and time schedules indicating when the student must take the medicine. Parents must submit a written statement indicating a request for DLDSSCSI to assist the child in taking the medication, and parents must also submit a release statement. If your child is on a continuing medication regimen for a non-episodic condition, you must notify DLDSSCSI of the medication, the current dosage, and the name of the supervising physician. Parents must turn all medications over to the front office.
